Multi-purpose Torch Lighter

The Yocan Red Slate Torch is a multi-purpose lighter in every sense of the word.

First thing that will catch its would-be owners’ attention is its built-in tray. The Yocan Red Slate Torch is equipped with a durable alloy body (which is also the material used for the actual tray) with a removable silicone liner. This means you can roll your spliffs and assemble your joints on top of the working tray. The silicone liner also makes it a good place to cut down waxy concentrates for micro dosing during wax concentrate sessions.

Having such a helpful and handy features means that the Yocan Red Slate Torch gives you just about almost anything you would need in a satisfying session — whether you’re alone or with a group. The tray made of high-grade alloy means that the Yocan Red Slate Torch is not only lightweight but also can withstand substantial punishment should its owners decide to use it as a daily driver. The silicone lining prevents wax concentrates from sticking onto the metal body and provides its users a decent layer of protection from scratches and minor dents when used with a hard banger or a sharp wax tool.

The housing of the Yocan Red Slate Torch is finished with a beautiful brushed aluminum look to give it that modern yet classy look. The removable silicone liner is transparent so as to not take away from the luster of the Yocan Red Slate Torch.

It’s definitely going to be a head-turner so make sure to have one in your next session.

Piezo Ignition Technology

The Yocan Red Slate Torch is equipped with Piezo ignition technology, which ensures fast flame production that works almost every time.

Compared to traditional spark wheel lighters, the Piezo ignition equipped in the Yocan Red Slate Torch makes for a more reliable ignition system. Instead of relying on sparks produced by a wheel, Piezo ignition uses a small spring-loaded hammer that hits an inorganic compound called lead zirconium titanate — aka PZT. The result is the creation of a high voltage with an electrical current that ignites the butane fuel that powers the Yocan Red Slate Torch.

In addition to producing almost instantaneous flames, Piezo ignition is generally regarded as a more reliable system that lasts longer than other ignition systems on the market today. So, when Yocan’s customers purchase a Yocan Red Slate Torch, they can be sure that they are paying for a dependable torch lighter that can keep up with their needs and will not fail them the moment when they need it the most.

Adjustable Flame Setting

Another good reason why consumers should heavily consider getting the Yocan Red Slate Torch is because it has an adjustable flame setting. This means that the flame can be customized to meet the needs and the requirements of the consumer, whatever that may be.

On paper, the Yocan Red Slate Torch can reach temperatures up to 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit or 1,371 degrees Celsius. In addition, the actual flame can reach 12-inches long.

With those numbers in mind, one can really tell that the possibilities when using the Yocan Red Slate Torch are endless. For one, the lower temperature levels can be used to light up a cigar or a cigarette. Meanwhile, the mid temperature level is perfect for when needs to light up a bowl — albeit one needs to slightly tip the bowl sideways for the herbs to catch the flame. Finally, the highest temperature level will best suit the needs of dab rig users as well as those who use manually-heated nectar collectors. They can dab straight out of their wax jars or scoop the wax concentrates they have cut down on the built-in tray using a dab tool.

Flame adjustment is pretty easy and intuitive, as with most Yocan products. The decision to make the flame adjustment tool simple and easy to understand allows both beginners and veterans to really dial down on their preferred setting to get the most out of every drop of wax or every ounce of herbs.

Thermochromic Muzzle

Like other Yocan Red torch lighters, the Yocan Red Slate Torch is also equipped with a thermochromic muzzle that changes its colors depending on the temperature it is exposed to. On that note, owners of the Yocan Red Slate Torch will be able to tell just by looking at the muzzle whether it’s still hot or it is now cool enough for storage and safekeeping.

This feature is a helpful addition to the typical torch lighter as it ensures that users of the Yocan Red Slate Torch will not accidentally burn themselves when using the device. Most especially since the Yocan Red Slate Torch comes in a flat and slate form, it is only expected that owners might accidentally touch the nozzle when handling the multi-functional torch lighter.

By understanding the changing colors, owners of the Yocan Red Slate Torch will be able to tell quickly whether it’s now safe to handle. The display of colors not only serve as an aesthetic display but also acts as a minor safety feature for those who value safety above all else.

Speaking of which, the Yocan Red Slate Torch is fitted with safety technologies that allow the owners to keep possible issues at bay. These include a lock and unlock mechanism as well as a peep hole to check the butane content of the Yocan Red Slate Torch’s tank.
